Once upon a time there was a girl named Kerrie who had a love for all things creative. In particular, she loved creating elaborate, handcrafted clothing, drawings and as she grew older her passion for intricate design work grew. She graduated university with flying colours to progress into a career in the creative industries, only to feel something was missing. In her spare time she was very fond of baking cakes and other treats for friends and as it turned out, she was pretty good at it.
Over time she began working on more elaborate cakes for occasions and wedding cakes in particular and it was clear to see that the intricate work of preparing recipes, baking and decorating cakes was what she was supposed to do all along. So Kerrie took a leap of faith and with the help of her loving family and friends, established Truly Scrumptious, named after a beloved song in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, in 2010.
Kerrie
wanted to treat her customers to the finest cakes and baked goods and
ensured her ingredients were locally sourced, where possible. She wanted
her cakes to be beautiful, delicious and affordable and so began the
start of something magical in a small town in Warwickshire.
Truly
Scrumptious now delivers and supplies to customers all over the West
Midlands, leaving customers very happy and satisfied with their
wonderful and delicious treats.
The Truly Scrumptious Tea Room
was the next project for Kerrie to work on, ensuring her lovely
customers had somewhere lovely to come and enjoy her cakes along with a
good old fashioned pot of tea. The vintage style of the Tea Room
reflects Kerrie's love of antiques and traditional English Tea Rooms and
she sourced the finest china cups, saucers and tea pots to serve her
customers.
Kerrie loves to meet and chat with her customers, especially when ordering wedding and occasion cakes so she can fully appreciate their requirements and they can taste some scrummy samples for free too! Kerrie's products were so beautifully presented that people often bought them as gifts for their loved ones and keep coming back to this day...
